Access to the conference site

The conference will be held at ENIM (Ecole Nationale d'Ingénieurs de Metz).


ENIM is situated in Metz-Est, at about 20 minutes by bus from the center of the city. It can be easily reached from the Railway Station (Gare) by the bus Mettis B, direction Maternité, stop Grandes Ecoles (see timetable from GARE to MATERNITE and timetable from GRANDES ECOLES to GARE (Monday - Friday, Saturday, Sunday)). You can also take the bus number L4, at the same stops, direction LE LAC. Most of the time there is a bus every 10 minutes and the journey takes about 20 minutes from GARE and 5 minutes more from REPUBLIQUE. For other bus lines, see the officiel site LeMet.

How to go to the Welcome Reception

The Welcome Reception will be held in the Salle des examens, at UFR MIM which is situated on Ile du Saucly.


If you take part in the visit of the Pompidou Center, a bus will carry you from there to the Welcome Reception. Otherwise, you can take Mettis B, direction Cité U, stop Saulcy. If you prefer to walk, it takes about 30 minutes from the Railway Station to UFR MIM.


How to get to Metz

Arrival by plane

Paris (

From the Charles de Gaulle airport (CDG), you have two choices:

  1. You can take the fast train (TGV) at the airport to the Lorraine TGV train station (1h10) which is situated at 25 kms of Metz. Then, you have to take a bus (navette) to the railway station of Metz (30 minutes trip). The price of this bus trip might be already included in your train ticket, so show your train ticket to the bus driver. It might be not, then the price of the bus will be about 7€.
  2. If you prefer to arrive directly to the railway station of Metz, you have to take the TGV from Gare de l'Est in Paris. You can go there from the airport in about 1h: arriving to CDG, take the metro RER B (all trains go to Paris). In about 30-40 minutes you arrive to Gare de Nord, from there you can either walk to Gare de l'Est (it is well indicated and takes only 5 minutes - see the map here), or you can take the metro line 4 for only one stop.

Luxembourg (

You have to take the bus number 16 - Eurobus (2€) to go to the railway station of Luxembourg-ville (see schedules). You arrive in Metz in about 50 minutes (16,202€).

Bruxelles-Charleroi / Francfort-Hahn (

From these airports, you can take a shuttle to Metz with, prices can be interesting if you book early.

Arrival by train

For booking see the SNCF website. The journey takes 1h30 from Paris by high speed train (TGV), 40-50 minutes from Luxembourg and 4h30 from Frankfurt.

Arrival by car

If you take a highway, take the exit Metz Est - Foire International de Metz to go to the conference site and take the exit Metz centre if you have a hotel near the railway station.
